Welcome!
We are Ryan Platt and Marisa Schmidt. Best friends, we partnered together to create Scene Stealer Professional Handling Service and eventually began breeding shelties.
Ryan started in the horse world, as most of us dog people, showing competitively in jumping. He then worked under a professional dog handler for two years before returning to New Jersey where he met Marisa and the rest is history.
Marisa has been breeding and showing Japanese Chin and German Shepherd Dogs for 16 years under the "Dizzy" kennel name. She also has multiple bred by Japanese Chin Conformation Champions and titled many dogs in performance events including winning the GSDCA National twice, winning the top 20 event and breeding, owning and handling the only Japanese Chin to earn a Master Agility Championship. Combined she has earned 9 Machs on 3 of her own dogs and a few on others! She is also a Japanese Chin Club of America Breed Mentor and AKC breeder of Merit.
Marisa is breeding shelties under the prefix "Scene Stealer" and Ryan under the prefix "Shaka". Many litters will be the combination of the two.
